LINPILE · LAST CHANGED 12 OCTOBER 2026
Terms of Use
These terms are the agreement between you and Özge Kıter Sterl, who makes and runs Linpile, for using the Linpile app. By tapping “Agree and continue” you accept them.
What Linpile is
Linpile helps you learn German and Turkish words. Right answers earn coins, and coins buy plants for a garden that you grow alone or together with one friend.
Practising is free. Sharing a garden with a friend is a one-time purchase.
Your member ID and restore key
When you set up Linpile you type a name and get a member ID and a restore key. The member ID is how a friend's garden recognises you. The restore key moves your progress to another phone.
Keep the restore key to yourself and somewhere safe. Anyone who has your member ID and your restore key can take over your member. Linpile can't look up a lost key, because only a scrambled form of it is stored.
Your garden partner sees your name. Don't use a name that is offensive or that pretends to be someone else.
Coins and plants
Coins, plants and gardens only exist inside Linpile. They have no money value. They can't be bought with money, sold, exchanged or paid out.
Coins are counted on your phone. They can be lost if you reset the app, or if you lose your phone and have no backup.
Linpile may change how coins are earned and what plants cost.
Garden for two
Sharing a garden is unlocked with a one-time purchase in Apple's App Store. The price is shown before you buy. It is not a subscription. Each of the two people needs the unlock.
The unlock belongs to your member and stays with it when you restore your member on another phone.
Apple handles the payment. Apple's terms apply to payment, withdrawal and refunds, so please ask Apple if you want a refund.
You can share a garden with one person at a time. If you leave a shared garden, the coins you spent on its plants are not given back.
Using Linpile fairly
Use Linpile for yourself and for learning. Please don't:
- try to get into another person's member, garden or data
- guess member IDs, restore keys or garden codes
- overload or disturb the service, or use automated tools on it
- use Linpile for anything that is against the law
Linpile may block or delete a member that breaks these rules.
The words
The word lists, example sentences and translations are written with care, but they can contain mistakes. Linpile is a practice tool, not a certified course, and doesn't promise that you will reach a certain level or pass an exam.
The app, its drawings, its texts and its word lists belong to Özge Kıter Sterl. You may use them inside the app for your own learning.
Changes and interruptions
Linpile is offered as it is. Features can change, and the service can be interrupted or ended.
Backups are made for your convenience. They are not a promise that your progress can always be brought back.
Liability
Linpile is fully liable for damage caused on purpose or by gross negligence, and for injury to life, body or health.
For slight negligence, Linpile is only liable where an essential duty of this agreement was broken, and then only for the damage that is typical and could be foreseen.
Beyond that, liability is excluded as far as the law allows. The rights the law gives you as a consumer stay as they are.
Ending
You can stop using Linpile at any time and delete the app. Settings → Delete my member deletes your member and its data; the Privacy Policy has the details.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change in a way that matters, the app shows them to you again and asks you to accept them before you carry on.
